Employees: Become an Employee and Then an R.N.

After one year of service, you can apply for our SMILE scholarship which pays for nursing tuition and fees, and covers the cost of your health care benefit

S.M.I.L.E. We have a scholarship program specifically for you. Standing for Scholarship Money Invested in LVHHN Employees, SMILE supports non-R.N. employees who have at least one year of service with LVHHN and are committed to becoming a registered nurse.

We cover tuition and fees for a two-year nursing program, as well as pay health plan contributions during this time. This program is limited to 15 participants per year.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Work a minimum of 16 hours per week at LVHHN during the school program
  • At least one-year direct patient care experience at LVHHN
  • A documented accepted performance review
  • Acceptance in a two-year nursing program
  • Agree to work at LVHHN for one year after successful completion of internship
